Kim Myung Min in Jang Jin Young's Posthumous Documentary

On September 3, MBC aired a special tribute for late actress, Jang Jin Young (1974-2009) on the occasion of her first death anniversary on September 1. The documentary featured interviews from Jang Jin Young's colleagues in the entertainment industry, and among them, was Kim Myung Min, her co-star in 2001 psychological horror film, Sorum.
In the interview, Kim Myung Min revealed that when he heard about the passing of Jang Jin Young, he felt like he was hit with a blunt object, and before he knew it, tears came streaming down his face.
In Sorum, Kim Myung Min highly commended Jang Jin Young for her perfect portrayal of a battered wife, a role that no other actress would be willing to take on. To characterize the role, Jang Jin Young gave up her feminine image for the sake of staying true to her job as an actress, an example of which was when she gets brutally beaten up by her husband in one of the scenes. Due to the dedication that she had shown, Jang Jin Young gained recognition as a "real" actress and eventually became the most sought after actress in the movie industry.
