091021 - Kim Myung Min's first Best Actor nomination for "Closer to Heaven"


Kim Myung Min is one of the contenders in the Best Actor category at the upcoming 46th Daejong Film Awards. This is Kim Myung Min's first nomination for his portrayal of Lou Gehrig's disease patient, Jong-woo in the hit melodrama "Closer to Heaven".

Other nominees for Best Actor are Ha Jung-Woo (Take Off), Jung Jae-Young (The Divine Weapon), Seol Kyung-Gu (Haeundae) and Kim Yoon-Seok (Running Turtle).

The Daejong Film Awards, known as one of the oldest and the most prestigious in Korea,  was established in 1961. It is organized by the state-run Motion Pictures Association of Korea and is also the only state-funded film competition.
